Disney World Hacks

There is something so exciting about seeing the front gates of Magic Kingdom no matter how old you get. Disney is one thing that never seems to lose its spark. Over the years you may come to appreciate different parts of the experience but the memories will never change!

Last year, my boyfriend and I took a summer road trip from Georgia to Disney in Florida. We look back on that week as one of the best of our lives. From our love of our first trip, we established one of our first ‘major’ traditions for ourselves and our future family: annual disney world trips.

We made our second trip during spring break this year. It was everything we expected and more. Keep reading f
or some tips and tricks you need to know!

No. 1

You NEED to visit Pandora!

Yes, the lines are terrible (sometimes reaching 4 hours during peak times). But the Avatar Flight of Passage Ride is by far the best offered at Disney World. You literally feel as if your riding a banshee through pandora. But there are a few tricks to avoiding the lines.

If you can, get a fast pass. They fill up pretty far in advance but if you register your tickets
online you’ll have access to them pretty early. Your second best bet is to get to the park before it even opens. There’s a Starbucks in the park so just get there as early as you can and enjoy your morning coffee.

No. 2

Fast Passes

With a fast past you sign up and can arrive at a ride during a selected window to have a shorter wait time. You automatically get few a day with your tickets. But when using the Disney app you’re allowed you to pick fast passes for one park per day. One trick to get around this is scheduling one fast pass for the morning. After you’ve used this pass, you’ll be free to select one for another park. Some rides may not be available but is great for anyone wanting to park hop! Plus, things frequently open up through out the day.

No. 3

The waterparks ARE worth it!

If you do it like we did, we purchased five day tickets and added the water park option. It didn’t cost much and makes the trip so much better. As for which is better, Typhoon Lagoon for sure has more options.
The park is much bigger and features more rides for both single and multiple riders. Typhoon lagoon also features the BEST wave pool, its one of the largest. Blizzard beach is great too and better if you want a calmer experience. Both parks have a lazy river so no matter which you favor, you’ll get some good relaxing in! Ps. Both waterparks also have this thing called a sandpail which is an actual bucket filled with ice cream, toppings and whipped cream. Grab a friend, or two or three because you need to try one of these.

No. 4

Don’t skip out on Disney springs!

Many people go to Disney world for the theme parks, and they should! But so many people miss out on what Disney springs has to offer. Disney Springs is an outdoor shopping area with restaurants and even a movie theatre. There are shops for everyone, they range from Disney stores to Sephora and even Harley Davidson. There are all kinds of restaurants and it can be a
great place to stroll around and take a break from the parks. There’s even a Sprinkles cupcake ATM!

No. 5

Go to Epcot!

Epcot only has a few rides, one of which is Soarin and is a favorite of mine. But it still needs to be on your list. Epcot is a great place to visit for
lunch or dinner. You can walk around the lake and essentially take a walk around the world. Stop in whichever country has your favorite food, then hit another for desert! I recommend the pizza at Via Napoli in Italy and then the lemon sorbet in France. Depending on how many days you’re at Disney, you could dine in up to eleven countries!

When it comes to visiting Disney world, try and explore as much as you can to really get the most out of your trip. No matter what, just remember that Disney has to be fun! So enjoy yourself and do what makes you happy! All you need is faith, trust, and a little pixie dust and I promise it’ll be one of the best trips of your life.
